Romance is an important part of human’s life. But animals? Do they have romantic feelings? Many biologists believe that human beings are not the only ones to have romantic love.

Many animals also touch each other or look at one another passionately, when they are courting. According to Diane Smuts, watching animals court is like watching a young man and woman meet for the first time at a bar.

Another researcher, Diane Ackerman claims that animals even have dinner dates. Biologists call it a “courtship feeding”. In a courtship feeding the male animal feeds food that he has gathered to the female he is courting.

This proves that the male will be a good provider of food for the children that they may have in the future. For human it is the same. When a man is trying to court a woman he also wants to show that he will be able to provide for the future family.
